A video of a police car driving with a rifle on the roof of the vehicle in downtown has sparked an internal review by the Des Moines Police Department.

Two videos, which were posted to Facebook on Nov. 16 , show a police car with the Des Moines Police Department logo and Iowa license plates driving in downtown near the Pappajohn Sculpture Park and later in the East Village with a rifle on the roof of the vehicle. Collectively, the videos have nearly 300,000 views.
