EVANSVILLE — The 86th annual Evansville Downtown Quarterback Club All-City football team was announced Monday.

Ricky White Jr. of North High School was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Year. John Hurley of Memorial High School was named the Gary West Coach of the Year. The team is voted on by city players while the coaching honor is voted on by city coaches.

White Jr. was one of the top linebackers in Southern Indiana this fall. The senior finished with a team-high 97 total tackles — including an impressive 33.5 for loss — 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception. He was the heartbeat of a defense that allowed only 14.8 points and under 100 rushing yards per game.
