The Roof Restaurant overlooking the Salt Lake Temple from the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building recently reopened after a “substantial renovation,” according to a news release on ChurchofJesusChrist.org .
The news release also included updates on the Salt Lake Temple’s ongoing renovation work.
What’s new at the reopened Roof Restaurant
The Roof Restaurant — originally opened in 1914, in what was then Hotel Utah — first shut doors in March 2020, and now joins other areas of the building reopened to the public earlier this year. These areas include the lobby and mezzanine levels of the building, as well as the Garden Restaurant found on the ground floor of the building.
