Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) skirted around a report that he is gearing up for another presidential run, saying reporters write “headlines that get clicks.”
Cruz’s possible 2028 run, reported on by Axios , would pit him against Vice President JD Vance , who hasn’t clarified whether he will run but is seen by many as President Donald Trump ‘s successor. Cruz ran for president in the 2016 election cycle but conceded the Republican Party’s primary to Trump.
