When Eric Anderson was wrongfully convicted of armed robbery in 2010, police and prosecutors built their case primarily on a single eyewitness identification of a suspect wearing a mask.
Anderson was exonerated in 2019, after the Wayne County Conviction Integrity Unit looked into his case and found he did not commit the crime for which he was convicted. He was released from prison after serving nine years.
