Friday night, the Somerset Briar Jumpers continued their journey to Kroger Field against their long-standing rival, the Danville Admirals. Despite a slow start and trailing in the game at the half, the Jumpers were able to advance to the regional title game with a 26-19 victory.

On the first Somerset drive, a heavy dose of Kris Hughes and Corban Cimala eventually led them into scoring position. Hughes ran it in from five yards out to give the Jumpers the first score of the contest. However, with kicker Julian Carroll out this week, Somerset went for two and did not convert, meaning their lead sat at just 6-0 with 4:38 left in the period.
