Brendan Fraser is a lonely, struggling actor just trying to find a real connection in his new movie, “Rental Family.”

Set in modern-day Tokyo, the forthcoming comedic drama follows the Oscar winner’s character, Phillip, who has been taking odd jobs in hopes of landing his big break. However, his life completely changes when he books one unusual role with a company: a Japanese “rental family” agency where paid actors pose as family members, friends and romantic partners, among other roles, for specific situations.
