ALBION, Mich. (WILX) - A Kalamazoo man was arrested in Albion on Sunday for carrying a concealed weapon alongside several toy guns.
On Nov. 16 at 9:11 p.m., Albion police conducted a traffic stop on the north side of Albion near I-94.
Police determined they had probable cause to search the car and asked the driver to step out.
When the driver exited, an officer noticed a loaded short-barreled rifle within reach of the driver.
The driver, an 18-year-old from Kalamazoo, was quickly detained. Police determined the gun was real and had a round in the chamber.
Police discovered several other weapons in the car, but the guns were later found to be airsoft or “Orbeez” gel blaster replicas.
