The city of Vancouver will host an open house Wednesday on the new 120-bed homeless shelter, known as the bridge shelter.
Residents can drop in to the open house from 5-7 p.m. at Walnut Grove Elementary School, 6103 N.E. 72nd Ave., Vancouver.
During the open house, attendees can meet project staff, ask questions and learn more about the construction process.
The shelter, located at 5313 N.E. 94th Ave., Vancouver, will be housed in a giant, metal building. Residents will be offered day-to-day support, including case management, meals and hygiene services. The Cowlitz Indian Tribe will provide treatment for substance use and mental and behavioral health support, as well as connections to work and education. Tags Homeless Vancouver
