The Purdue men's basketball team's recent momentum has coincided with a rush of name, image and likeness merchandise sales. The NIL Store, which licenses branded apparel representing 124 universities, including 14 Big Ten schools and powerhouses like Duke, Auburn and Clemson, released its top-selling athletes from last week on Monday. Purdue dominated.
The Boilermakers, who again rose to No. 1 in Monday's USA Today coaches poll on the strength of two wins (including one Thursday on the road against No. 11 Alabama), placed five players in the top 10 of NIL Store sales. Star senior point guard Braden Smith topped the list, followed by fellow seniors Fletcher Loyer and Trey Kaufman-Renn, sophomore C.J. Cox and freshman Omer Mayer.
