UPDATE: The City of Chattanooga Public Works is performing code inspections across the city to "enhance neighborhood safety and livability."
Public works says the entire inspection team will survey each district over a 2-day period to look over as many addresses as possible. They are keeping an eye out for litter, overgrowth, inoperable vehicles on private property, and structure violations.
Public works released the following schedule:
Nov. 3-4: District 1
Nov. 17-18: District 2
Dec. 1-2: District 7
Dec. 15-16: District 3
Jan. 5-6: District 4
Jan. 26-27: District 8
Inspectors will place a Notice of Violation tag on properties with code violations, which will give residents two weeks to correct violations.
