DODA, Nov 17: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 12 grams of heroin-like substance in Doda district today.

During naka checking at Paryote, a dumper (JK06B-4261) on way towards Doda from Khellani was intercepted, officials said.

During search of two people travelling in the vehicle, 12 grams of the contraband substance was recovered, they said.

Accordingly, the accused, identified as Mubashir Hussain of Koti Basti, Doda (driver) and Manzoor Ahmed of Gundana, Doda, were arrested and booked in case FIR number 259/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Doda and further investigation taken up, the police official added.
