HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — One person is facing charges after an attempted robbery that happened at a local business over the weekend.

The incident happened on Saturday at the Bodega Market Luncheria and Groceries on Letcher Street in Henderson.

Authorities told 44News that a person flagged down an officer in the area to report the robbery.

An officer observed a man matching the suspect's description in a car nearby.

Valdeze Hughes was arrested following a felony stop and booked into the Henderson County Jail. Records show he's charged with robbery and possession of marijuana.
