STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Fire Department responded to a crash in Oakwood on Monday afternoon.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Platt Street and Montreal Avenue at 2:04 p.m.
At the scene, a white Hyundai had severe front-end damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle’s wheel hub was left exposed, with the headlight missing.
The missing part was seen in the roadway. Inside the vehicle the emergency airbags were deployed.
An Amazon delivery van at the scene also had front-end damage. The grill and bumper of the vehicle were visibly damaged, particularly on the driver’s side.
According to the FDNY, there were no reported injuries as a result of the crash.
A spokesperson from Amazon did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication
