An Australian man known for being a serial pest and stage invader has been jailed after jumping a barricade and rushing Ariana Grande at a film premiere.

The pop star was at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good last week when Johnson Wen ran up to Grande while she was talking to fans on the yellow carpet.

The 26-year-old put his arm around her and started jumping up and down, with Grande looking visibly shocked and uncomfortable.

Her co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly stepped in, pushing the man off Grande and saying: “Get off her, don’t touch her.”

Michelle Yeoh, who plays Madame Morrible in Wicked, comforted Grande as security stepped in to take the man away.
