Still, the staff and owners of on Broadway are all smiles about their latest recognition — New York’s best ‘Hole-In-The-Wall breakfast spot — ranked earlier this month.

The daily food and beverage newsletter listed the best spots for breakfast in each state — there were no runner-ups — Compton’s Restaurant was No. 1.
