PITTSFIELD, Maine (WABI) - State Police say a person from Scarborough was killed in a crash in Pittsfield.

It happened just before 6 a.m., Monday on I-95.

Troopers arrived to find a car had gone into the median and became lodged in the trees.

Police say the driver, Rae Hartford, 56, died at the scene.

They say the preliminary investigation shows speed and intoxication were likely factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
