BILLINGS, Mont. – The Family Tree event, a cherished holiday tradition in Billings, is returning for its 40th year in just a few weeks. This annual festival, held at the Family Tree Nurturing Center, serves as a vital fundraiser aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect.
Local businesses, nonprofits and schools are coming together to support this cause. The Billings Kiwanis is teaming up with the key clubs from all three Billings high schools to collect children's books for the event.
In recent years, the book collections have reached impressive heights, sometimes stacking up to 20 stories tall. Organizers are hopeful that this year's support will help them gather even more books, making the event bigger and better.
Community members are encouraged to donate new and gently used books.
