He suggested federal funding for Light Rapid Transport (LRT) between Montreal and Deux Montagnes to the north would aid with development, a.k.a., housing developments. The new LRT line from downtown to the northwest opened this weekend.

Deux Montagnes was formerly City of Two Mountains, shortened to Two Mountains, until the French-language police got really active. Before that, it was known as St. Eustache sur le lac, to differentiate it from St. Eustach
