Indian company WPIL 's South African arm has received a ₹426-crore contract from Matla a Metsi Joint Venture, to be commissioned in four years, the company said on Monday, November 17.

The industrial products firm received the contract for the complete electro mechanical and instrumentation works for the Mokolo Crocodile Water Augmentation Project phase 2.

The project aims to meet the demands of water stations and the municipality of Lephalale by diverting water from the Mokolo dam to the Waterberg area.

WPIL is an Indian company engaged in the fluid handling business, catering to domestic as well as international markets. It is primarily involved in designing, developing, manufacturing, erecting, commissioning and servicing of pumps and pumping systems.
