SAUGATUCK, MI -- If the holiday spirit brings out your inner Martha May then you’ll feel at home at Saugatuck’s Whootville Christmas Parade.

Yes, you read that right. It’s a Whootville parade. The lakeshore town is channeling the spirited whimsy of Dr. Seuss without infringing on the iconic Christmas story.

The Saugatuck-Douglas crowd will gather for all things cheeky and cheery for this topsy-turvy parade starting 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

You’re encouraged to grab your hot cocoa and start lining up along the parade route as early as 10:15 a.m. along Mason and Griffith Streets.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in whimsical Whootville or Christmas-themed attire.
