CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Spring Garden Fire Department and Alabama Forestry Commission crews are on scene of a large fire on Howard Davis Mountain.

The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) says this fire is near the intersection of County Road 45 and Highway 278.

The EMA is warning drivers and residents in that area that they may see a large amount of smoke but that there is no need to call 911.
