6PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 23-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning on North Warnock Street, prompting a homicide investigation that later led SWAT officers to detain one person for questioning.

Police said officers from the 25th District responded around 1:40 a.m. to reports of a man shot on the highway in the 35XX block of North Warnock Street.

Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds — two to the back and one to the chest.

The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:05 a.m.

Investigators said no motive has been identified, and no arrests had been made as of early Monday morning.
