SPOKANE, Wash. — A 29-year-old man accused of striking and killing a woman in a Spokane Valley crosswalk faces charges of vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Seth E. Schrammeck was driving south on North Sullivan Road when he struck a woman who was crossing the intersection at East Broadway.
She was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
Prosecutors said Schrammeck provided a non-evidentiary portable breath test sample that returned a reading of 0.03. A blood draw was also taken for analysis, but the results are pending.
Schrammeck was granted a $25,000 bond over the weekend, which will remain unchanged following his initial court appearance. His arraignment is set for November 20 at 3 p.m.
