LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Twin sisters Avery and Taylor Dunneback signed to play softball at Grand Valley State University at a ceremony at Lansing Catholic High School on Monday.

Both sisters have been three-year varsity starters for the Cougars, helping them to three straight CAAC-White titles and, earlier this year, Lansing Catholic’s first Softball Classic title in more than 30 years. Both have batting averages over .470 across their high school careers.

Taylor, a catcher, and Avery, an infielder, are hoping to carry their high school success into college, joining a GVSU program that has won seven of the last eight GLIAC regular season titles.

The sisters will play their senior season this spring before heading to GVSU in the fall of 2026.
