NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Brennon Pointe Apartments in Newport News is the address for where court records show 19-year-old Neveah Harris was shot .

Newport News Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court records show 21-year-old Kanye Harris is accused of Harris’s death .

A criminal complaint from Newport News police say they got a call on Nov. 11 for reports of a shooting.

Police say they found Harris in the doorway of the Brennon Pointe Apartments, and shortly after getting there, Newport News Fire Department medics said Harris passed away.

After investigating, detectives found Harris and Smith were at Smith’s mother’s apartment.

In a sit-down interview at the Newport News Police Headquarters, detectives say Smith’s mother said Harris and her son had been arguing.
