A pickup truck caused multiple motor vehicle crashes in East Haven on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Coe Avenue and Silver Sands Road just after 4 p.m. on Monday, according to Capt. Joseph M. Murgo of the East Haven Police Department .
Murgo said the incident started around 4:06 p.m. when the driver of a Ford F350 crashed into a vehicle at the intersection of Hemingway Avenue and Dodge Avenue. The Ford F350 continued traveling south on Coe Avenue and reportedly collided into a second vehicle pulling out of Diamond Marine at 650 Coe Ave. The truck then continued on and caused a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Coe Ave and Silver Sands Road, according to Murgo.
