The Suquamish Tribe has announced plans to acquire Kitsap OBGYN next year, keeping the currently independent provider afloat and persevering access to maternal care for expecting mothers in Kitsap County.
Much of the clinic's operations will remain the same, but moving under the tribe's umbrella will allow its 42 staff members to offer more efficient and effective care, said Amity Marriott, a doctor for Kitsap OBGYN. The agency will continue assisting with deliveries at St. Michael Medical Center and running clinics in Poulsbo and Silverdale, serving both tribal and non-tribal members
