CINCINNATI —

Christopher Lindner, son of Cincinnati businessman Carl Lindner III, was shot and killed by police around 5 p.m. on Friday after leading officers on a chase to a farm owned by the Lindner family in Adams County, where a standoff occurred.

Two-and-a-half hours prior to the deadly shooting, a woman working at Uplift, Brown County's only marijuana dispensary, called 911. "We just had someone in the parking lot waving a knife around, threatening the construction workers across the street," the caller said. An incident report indicates the construction was happening at a nearby Mercy Health medical complex. The woman identified the man as Christopher Lindner using the dispensary's computer system. "'Cause they shop here. So I have their driver's license," she said. Advertisement
