India on Monday said it has formally taken note of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) verdict that sentenced Bangladesh’s ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death. New Delhi added that it remains committed to the “best interests of the people of Bangladesh”.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said India continues to support peace, democracy, inclusion and stability in Bangladesh. It emphasised that India will “engage constructively with all stakeholdersto that end.”
