BUTLER TWP — Chick-fil-A is officially coming to Butler Township, adding another fast-food restaurant to New Castle Road.

The board of commissioners voted Monday, Nov. 17, to give final approval to the national chain’s land development plan to bring a new location to the township.

Chick-fil-A will build the restaurant on a vacant lot at 660 Butler Crossing, right next to McDonald’s, in front of Kohl’s and across the street from Sheetz.

The chain, based in Georgia, mostly serves chicken and chicken sandwiches, plus waffle fries and other sides.

Justin Thornton, an engineer representing Chick-fil-A, said the proposed building will be similar to a typical Chick-fil-A. The roughly 5,000-square-foot brick building will include 62 seats inside and four outdoor tables.
