The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is now equipped with body-worn cameras.
The OPP says they’re committed to adopting tools and technologies that improves the quality of evidence, enhance accountability, transparency, and ultimately support the safety of both the public and officers in the communities we serve.

After a successful roll out of In Car Cameras, which incorporated an Automated Licence Plate Recognition system, the Nipissing West OPP, along with other detachments within the North East Region, are rolling out body-worn cameras’ for each individual officer.
