LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Another round of protesters gathered outside the Nebraska Governor’s Mansion on Monday afternoon to speak out against the new ICE facility that opened in McCook earlier this month.
The group of women calls themselves “the Pissed off Grandmas,” and are led by members of Like Minded Friends out of Omaha.
The grandmas say they’re advocating for democracy and getting Nebraskans organized against what they call “fascist actions” taken by the current state and federal government to detain and deport undocumented immigrants.
