ALLEN, Texas — In Allen, preparation isn’t just for game day — it’s a way of life.
For the powerhouse Allen High School football team, that preparation now includes something unexpected: police officers embedded with the team.
The Blue Eagle Program, a partnership between the Allen Police Department and Allen ISD, embeds two local officers — Chance Graves and Michael Cambiano — directly into the football program. Together, they train, travel and sweat alongside the players, sharing the same grind — except maybe running routes.
“We want them to see beyond the badge,” said Allen Chief Steve Dye.
“They’re here to support Allen. We’re here to support them,” said Allen high schooler Jacobie Wilkerson.
