While Beaverton came up short against Sandy on Friday in the Columbia Cup quarterfinals, a 36-20 loss, one of the Beavers’ star players ended his high school career marking himself as one of the state’s all-time greats.
Receiver Oliver Luebkert ended the night with 14 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown. The finish makes Luebkert Oregon’s leader in career receiving yards, career touchdowns and receptions in a single season.
With the season over, Luebkert finishes with 3,324 career yards. He moved up from No. 7 all-time to No. 1 in career receiving yards.
Central Catholic’s Silas Starr amassed a state-record 3,315 receiving yards from 2017-19 and was the state leader up until Friday.
