The Orange County School District is meeting to discuss banning e-bikes on campuses this week.
Parents say the discussion is long overdue. Children can be seen on the streets of Orlando zooming past traffic, showing off with all kinds of tricks and weaving in and out of lanes.
Katie Bevan says she had several children on e-bikes follow closely behind her vehicle before flying past her.
"I've had them following my car on the road, driving faster than I am in a vehicle when I'm going home from school," Bevan said. "Some of these kids, I think, are between the ages of 9 and 13."
Bevan says she recently witnessed a child get hit by a car on an e-scooter when she says he ignored a stop sign.
