Heavy rainfall caused flooding in a number of northeastern Italian regions on Monday.
Firefighters said they conducted dozens of interventions to rescue residents trapped in their homes.
Footage filmed by firefighters from a helicopter showed the village of Romans d’Isonzo, in the Gorizia province of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, inundated by waters from the nearby River Torre.
Rescue services on Monday were also continuing to look for two people who went missing after a mudslide hit their house in the village of Brazzano di Cormons.
