ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to shift repaving work on Interstate 20 westbound lanes to the overnight hours.
The change is planned to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 18, weather permitting.
ALDOT previously planned to pave the roadway between mile marker 157 and 164 during the day.
Officials say a double-lane closure could be necessary at times, but at least one lane will always remain open.
Motorists are urged to consider alternate routes or adjust departure times, and observe work zone speed limits and signs while using extreme caution.
