PACIFIC, Wash. — Drivers who rely on northbound state Route 167 near Pacific should brace for major slowdowns. Starting the night of Nov. 19, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close all northbound lanes between Stewart Road and Ellingson Road, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., to prepare for bridge repairs.
After that overnight closure, the northbound side of the highway will shrink to a single lane — specifically, one right lane between Stewart Road and just north of the Third Avenue Southwest overpass. The restriction will remain in place around the clock until early next year as crews repair the damaged bridge. Officials warn that drivers should expect additional traffic, heavy congestion, and long delays throughout the corridor.
