The Toronto Blue Jays will have to live with the fact that their bullpen was unable to close out the World Series and bring a championship to Toronto last season. However, the team has an opportunity to revamp the relief corps this winter.

Jeff Hoffman notched 33 saves last season, but his ERA was 4.37. His ERA was much higher than a team would want from its closer, and that was before he blew a save in Game 7 of the World Series. The Blue Jays may consider making a change at closer this winter. According to MLB insider Francys Romero , the Blue Jays are contenders to sign Raisel Iglesias.

Iglesias is an 11-year veteran and joined the Braves in 2022. Since joining the Braves, he has a 2.35 ERA and 97 saves. FanSided's Mark Powell predicted he would sign with the Blue Jays this winter
