Montgomery police have charged a man in a homicide that happened over the summer.
Officers were called around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16 to the 2300 block of E. Sixth Street.
Once they arrived, they found 32-year-old Eric Major dead from a gunshot wound.
In addition, officers also made contact with another adult male with non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police have charged 37-year-old Lequinton Smith with murder and attempted murder.
Smith was taken into custody on November 17 and booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
