SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Springfield's school board will soon vote on its 2025 tax levy.
The district is asking for a 4.56% increase, which would raise property taxes by about $7 a month on a $100,000 home.
Local property taxes make up more than half of the district's revenue.
The board is set to vote Dec. 1 on the proposal after a public hearing.
