ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- As high school principals across the state prepare to cast their votes this week on a groundbreaking Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) policy, Rocky River City School District leaders say they’ve been carefully preparing for what could be a transformative shift in high school athletics.
Superintendent Adham Schirg says district leadership has been closely monitoring the issue and preparing for potential changes well in advance of this week’s vote (Nov. 17-21).
“Our high school principal, athletic and activities director, and I have discussed NIL, along with the potential shift in practices that will come along with it,” Schirg said.
