Romaine Park Primary School will be closed on November 19 as the fallout from the contaminated coloured sand continues .

It is the only North-West public school listed for a full closure on the Department of Education, Children and Young People website.

However, East Ulverstone Primary, Latrobe Primary, Penguin District, Reece High, Sheffield and Spreyton Primary schools will partially close.

"The department is taking all necessary actions to quantify the risks that may exist, with all work informed by a qualified professional and overseen by an incident management team within DECYP," it says on the department's website.

"The department is serious about any concerns that could affect the safety of the children, their families and our staff.

"It is monitoring this situation carefully
