Manchester United may have already been handed a potential transfer boost in their reported pursuit of Wolves star Joao Gomes.

Reports in recent days have claimed that United have expressed an interest in signing Gomes during the January transfer window. Some reports have even suggested that United would only need to pay £44million in order to sign the Brazilian in the New Year.

Gomes has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past, with the speculation seemingly ramping up ahead of the January window.
