Greater Manchester is braced for a rainy day today ahead of potential snowfall in our region later this week.

Temperatures will reach highs of 7C today (Tuesday) before they look set to plummet overnight and into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Rain showers will make way for drier and colder conditions, with Met Office forecasters predicting some snowfall in parts of our region from around 2am on Wednesday, although it is only forecast to fall for a couple of hours.

Temperatures will plummet to almost freezing overnight into tomorrow as cold Arctic air sweeps over the UK.
