HYDERABAD: A home that days ago was buzzing with laughter and last-minute packing now sits bolted and cold. The hum has dimmed from a familiar address in city's Vidyanagar. Rooms that held three generations of the Shaik family remain frozen in a journey they never completed. Thousands of miles away in Saudi Arabia, 18 members of the extended family — 11 who lived in the three-storey home and seven visiting relatives — perished in the bus fire en route to Medina, erasing an entire branch of the Shaiks in moments.
