AHMEDABAD: At least four people, including an infant, were charred to death, and three others were injured when the ambulance transporting a family to Ahmedabad caught fire near Modasa town in north Gujarat’s Aravalli district around Tuesday midnight. Aravalli superintendent of police (SP) Manoharsinh Jadeja told TOI that the ambulance was sent by Ahmedabad-based private hospital along with the doctor and nurse to transport the ailing infant and his family for further treatment to Ahmedabad. "A fire erupted in the running ambulance about a km from Modasa town around 12:45am. The doctor, nurse and the infant were among the four people who died.
