A solo traveller from New Zealand, travelling across Sri Lanka in a rented tuk-tuk, faced a deeply disturbing experience when a local asked to have sex with him before masturbating in front of her.

The woman, identified as Mols, who posts solo visits from across the world on her Instagram page, captured the moment on her phone, which was mounted just above the driver's seat.

Mols said she had been driving along a coastal route between Arugam Bay and Pasikuda when she stopped briefly on the roadside. During that pause, a man on a scooter approached her. Although there was a language barrier between them, he attempted to start a conversation and lingered near her tuk-tuk.
