New research by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) has revealed the widespread use of harmful pesticides in California, as well as the counties that utilize them the most.
The non-partisan, nonprofit environmental research organization's new report reveals that, on average, approximately 2.5 million pounds of pesticides containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are applied to the state's crop fields each year.

Despite promising to protect Americans from pesticides during his presidential election campaign rallies, the Trump administration has appeared to embrace their use this year, with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approving, or seeking to approve, a number of PFAS-containing and other pesticides .
